Ever wondered when’s the best times of day and the best days of the week to tweet for your audience? Well, I might just have the answer for you…

Analytics

With Twitter, you can check your Analytics and it will show you a 28-day summary overview of:

– Tweets
– Tweet Impressions
– Profile Visits
– Mentions
– New Followers

Here’s a summary of mine for December 2019 so far…

As well as things like:

– Top Tweet
– Top Mention
– Top Follower
– Top Media Tweet

Then it will show you Tweet Activity summary:

If you would like a little more idea of your audience interests it will show your Audience Insights:

That just a quick overview of the data you can check out go have a look at yours as your analytics will be different to mine.

But if you want to find out when’s the best time and best day to post for your audience in your Analytics it won’t show you. But there is a way and it’s very interesting to learn about.

Media Studio

You need to head to “Media Studio” and this is found under your “Analytics” (see below). The “Media Studio” has lots of great features such as improving your videos with thumbnail images, call to action buttons and more, but my focus is to show you a feature that you won’t find in “Analytics” which is the best engagement times for you and your followers.

And boom! Here’s what you’ve been looking for. This is an example of mine so far for December and as you can see the best days and best times for me are the following (the darkest squares are the highest engagement):

Best Days:

– Mondays
– Thursdays
– Fridays

Best Times (when I’m tweeting Monday to Friday):

– Mondays 3pm to 11pm
– Tuesdays 8pm to 10pm
– Wednesdays 8pm to 10pm
– Thursdays 3pm to 6pm THEN 7pm to 11pm
– Fridays 1pm to 9pm THEN, 10pm to 11pm

As you can see weekends are not the best for my audience, but it could be for you!

To Wrap Up

To make sure you have access to your Media Studio you need to go to sign up to do Twitter Ads. You sign up but don’t have to do Ads on Twitter. To sign up click on Twitter Ads which is found above your Analytics:
